Forward to Work” is an exciting new approach which enables people to get the job they want.

This innovative course is divided into 4 sections, which comprise; the overnight stay, group sessions interspersed with one-to-one sessions, intense job search and finally the helpdesk.

  • The overnight stay at an outdoor pursuits centre takes participants out of their normal environment and places them in an alien situation with people they don’t know – a challenge in itself!   Problem solving and team building events are provided as well as activities that encourage stretching individuals boundaries and ‘comfort zones’.  After these events participants definitely open up and are usually flying high following their achievements!
  • Group & one-to-one sessions follow over the next two-weeks, during which time the participants are encouraged to explore their natural skills and abilities, set goals and learn the job search tricks of the trade.  During this time we also introduce local employers to the course candidates.  In this phase, we are primarily looking at motivation and providing tools and skills that the individuals can take with them and use on leaving the course.
  • A Job Search Coach continues to provide another two weeks of intensive support assisting the candidates to take their new approach out into the world and help them explore or create opportunities in the area or company they have chosen to work.  Assistance is provided in whatever capacity is required by the individuals, whether it is with application form completion, research prior to an interview, or even just meeting up to give moral support – the help will be there.
  • A telephone help line number is provided to all attendees, so they can call for further support as long as they need it.

The success and achievements will belong to the individuals so they can find their true potential!
